OK! GOAL SETTING AND TECHNIQUES! Let's do it! Once you've read this WHOLE post, comment below on your 3 goals for this challenge - 1 nutrition related goal, 1 fitness related goal and 1 personal development goal - and you'll be entered to WIN a BEAUTIFUL GLASS WATER BOTTLE with silicone covering (don't break it! )

It's one thing to have an end goal in mind, but it's a whole other thing to reach it. So, how to you meet your end goal?

1. One of the first ways to be successful is to be a part of a GROUP that SUPPORTS you and has similar goals in mind - Check! You've got that part done! If you haven't already joined a support group, fill out this quick form and I'll help get you in one!

2. DECLARE your goals! You can tell yourself what your goals are, but once you declare it, it becomes ALIVE! Know your friends, family, facebook, support group, your higher power hear you and can SUPPORT you in that goal (hey, who knows, maybe you'll inspire them to do some goal setting themselves!) I like to make mine on a pretty print out and put them in a place I see them regularly - the fridge, your office, anywhere! DECLARE YOUR GOALS!

3. Create steps to meet that goal - aka the mini goal. Once you know where you're heading, start thinking of small daily ways to get you closer to your goal every day. Maybe it means meal prepping or a tracker app for your phone. Maybe it's getting a water bottle that you can fit in your purse, what ever small steps you need to take to get there, focus on those goals every day and the next thing you know, you'll have reached your big goal!

4. Don't be afraid to revise your goals. Maybe tracker apps aren't for you. Maybe tracker bracelets work better. You're carrying around your water bottle, but still forgetting to take a sip? Try setting an alert on your phone or something. Keep tweaking your mini-goals and you WILL get there! SO MUCH of what we're doing requires patience and experimentation, don't be afraid to revise and try a new way!

5. Don't let a set back ruin you. We ALL have not-so-good days that can derail us from our goals (hello, delicious cupcake!) so don't let ONE mistake bring you down so hard and fast you that you end up further away from your goals that when you started. Acknowledge that it was ONE mistake, that it does NOT define you and that your next action will be in the direction of your goals. YOU'VE GOT THIS!

6. Finally , DON'T QUIT! It might not happen as fast or in the way you originally anticipated, but that doesn't mean you failed. Change is a PROCESS and old habits die hard. KEEP GOING!
