How to deal with post-Halloween treats

Wondering what to do with all those Halloween treats from yesterday? Here are a few ideas to help keep you (and your family!) from over doing it on the sugar after trick-or-treating!
1. Sort through the treats - have your kids pick out a couple of favorites to keep (hopefully, they share a couple with you for your treat days!) Needs some tips? CHeck out this fun Buzzfeed video!
2. Check with your local dentist - in Minnesota, Health Partners Dental usually offers a "buy back" program. Take your candy to the office, they weigh it and give you a dollar per pound. You don't have to have Health Partners insurance or anything, just walk in with your candy and leave with cash!

3. Take them to work - after you sort through and keep a couple of your favorites with the kids, take the remaining candy to work for the communal candy bowl (you know which one I'm talking about!)

4. Freeze them - out of sight, out of mind. Plus, when they're frozen, they're harder to eat, so when you do go for a piece, you'll be slowed down and less likely to turn 1 treat into 5
