Happy Friday! As part of my Fashionable Friday Series, I wanted to share my everyday face cleansing routine. I've tried just about every product under the sun and at the end of the day, I've found my best face happens when I'm using the simplest products. Here's what I use every morning

1 - Dr. Bronner's 18-in-one Hemp Castille Soap. I know, I know. Dr. Bronner's is usually something most people use for their dishes or to clean their floors, but Magic Soap REALLY IS MAGIC! I put a little on a facial buffer in the shower and gently scrub my face every morning after my workout. I love the Almond and the Rose! 2. After I shower, I use a little Thayers Witch Hazel as a toner. I put it on a cotton pad and go over my entire face a couple of times. Toning is an important step, especially if you have dry skin. It will help close the pore and draw the moisture in. 3. Next, I spray my face with hydrating rose water. I like to spray rose water between each layer of my moisturizers as well. Pictured is Herbivores Rose And Hibiscus Hydrating Facial Spray, but I also really love Heritage Store Rose Water 4. Acure argan oil is AMAZING! It's lightweight and silky and creates a smooth base for my make-up application (more on that next week!) I press it into my skin using my finger tips, then spray rose water over the top.
5. I let my argan oil soak in for a couple of minutes (brush my teeth or something while it settles), then add a small amount of Alaffia coconut oil all over my face. Coconut oil is ultra-hydrating and has great antibacterial properties, so it's perfect for dry skin that's also acne prone. Plus, Alaffia is a fair trade brand created by women! Win! Finally, I spritz my self with rose water once last time and let my products really soak in for a few minutes before I move on to my daily make-up routine. This might seem like a long process, but it really only takes about 5-6 minutes (the teeth brushing is the longest part!) And it's a great little way to exercise some self-care, so you can give of yourself more confidently. Hydrate, lift heavy & stretch, Liana Lindgren - The Confident Mom
